Dr. Sati Khalsa, who was raised in Los Angeles, California, earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychobiology from the University of California at Los Angeles in 2002. It truly was a childhood dream for her to become a pediatric dentist and her journey was unique to get there. While Los Angeles with her family was home base she also attended boarding school in Northern India from elementary school through high school and community college in Santa Monica, CA. In 2006, she received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from New York University College of Dentistry. To keep her experiences well rounded she completed a General Practice Residency at Wyckoff Heights Hospital in Brooklyn, NY. As general dentistry and public health organizations allowed her to work with patients of all ages and all backgrounds, this was her focus for almost ten years in New York City and New York State. But the call of the childhood dream had never left. In 2014 she was accepted for a one year internship in pediatric dentistry and then completed the two year University at Buffalo Pediatric Dentistry residency program as the last step to finalizing the goal of becoming a pediatric dentistry specialist. In that time she also had the opportunity to travel twice to Senegal, Africa for dental outreach missions. After all those years on the East Coast she has been loving Colorado like a local since 2017, as it called her with its number of sunny days, seasons and a great metro middle ground for family in California and New Mexico. She also earned her American Board of Pediatric Dentistry Certification in 2018. She maintains her credentials at Children's Hospital Colorado and holds an adjunct faculty position to help teach residents at the Children's Colorado Hospital Pediatric Dentistry residency program.
In her free time, Dr. Sati actively seeks volunteer activities for non-profit organizations of all sorts. She also volunteers her time for organized dentistry including the Colorado Dental Association, the Metro Denver Dental Society and the Colorado Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. She loves art, crafts, choir, musical theater and movies. She enjoys crossing destinations off her travel wish list and soaking up the Colorado sunshine with family and friends.
