What: Myasthenia Gravis Golf Tournament - 2019
Where: Mountain Vista Greens Golf Course – Fort Collins
Details: June is Myasthenia Gravis Awareness Month and CCDC wanted to help! This year, CCDC helped sponsor an MG Golf Tournament that raised close to $12,000 last year. We learned more about what MG means and the effects
it has on not only the individual diagnosed, but their loved ones. Myasthenia Gravis is a condition of extreme muscle weakness, particularly the diaphragm and chest muscles that support breathing.
Jamie, Dr. J"s cousin, was diagnosed with this disease in 2016 and continues to fight this battle daily. The symptoms have been controlled, but crisis can happen quickly, so the support of loved ones and qualified medical professionals is key to overcoming the disease. MG is an autoimmune disease and is still being researched and has no cure, but there is ALWAYS HOPE! So join us in spreading awareness this month, BELIEVE, and remember #weareMG!
